🙌 BYBL is looking for a Program Assistant (Grades K-3)! Help us run a smooth basketball season by supporting the setup and breakdown of the program each Saturday. 📅 Saturdays, December through February 🛠️ Responsibilities: Assist with morning setup, game turn over, and travel team setup, equipment. ⏰Based on the program schedule, typically beginning at 8:00 am and ending at 12:45 pm ✅ Great for Responsible BHS students looking to earn community service hours or work with a great Basketball Program, or an existing parent of this program would be a great addition! Chain Crew volunteers help keep Branford Youth Football games running smoothly by moving the chains and down markers along the sidelines. Working closely with referees, this role ensures accurate yardage and fair play while giving volunteers a front-row view of the action. Reliability, focus, and teamwork are all that’s needed to make a big impact on game day.

Role Overview: The Sponsorship Coordinator helps support our town soccer program by building and maintaining relationships with local businesses and securing sponsorships that directly benefit our players and teams. Key responsibilities: Create and maintain positive relationships with local companies and community partners. identify and reach out to potential soccer sponsorships. Coordinate sponsorship opportunities (team sponsors, banners, uniforms, events, etc.) Serve as the main point of contact for sponsors throughout the season. Help ensure sponsors receive appropriate recognition and appreciation. Time Commitment: Flexible; seasonal with increased activity before and during soccer season. Experience Needed: No prior experience required- just enthusiastic and willingness to connect with local Businesses!

Head Coach (Travel Teams) Lead weekly practices and games. Teach basic soccer Skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun. Communicate with families about practices and games logistics. Schedule games with surrounding towns during the Scheduling Meeting in March. Report scores for League games to CJSA. The Soundview Family YMCA team, in collaboration with the Branford Board of Education, is teaching your children to be safe in and around the water. The Y’s Safety Around Water program teaches children of all ages and from all backgrounds that water can be fun, not scary. Knowing how to be safe around water is one of the most important life skills we can teach our children - it gives them confidence, and can save their lives. The YMCA is looking for volunteers to help swim instruction. We are all aware that isolation and loneliness are significant issues in our society. Did you know that just a few hours of your time can make a difference for someone in need? The RSVP volunteer program at the Agency on Aging is actively seeking volunteers who are ready to engage in meaningful conversations and connections. Many individuals can no longer drive, making trips to the grocery store essential for promoting independence and a sense of belonging. The program has established onboarding procedures to ensure the safety and appropriateness of interactions for both volunteers and recipients. Please join us in making a difference!

It helps facilitate travel from a person's home to their doctor's office and back. Medical chaperone volunteers are available to provide essential support, offering door-to-door assistance. The Branford Hornets are a community-based youth football organization offering flag and tackle programs for children in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where young athletes can learn the fundamentals of football while developing teamwork, leadership, discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence. Programs are designed to be age-appropriate and welcoming—starting with flag football for younger or newer players and progressing to tackle as skills develop. We believe in more than just wins and losses: our focus is on helping each child grow on and off the field, building character and pride in themselves and their community.

For over two decades, Branford Youth Lacrosse has been a pillar of our community, dedicated to nurturing the love of lacrosse in young athletes from Kindergarten through 8th grade. We take immense pride in being able to support the young athletes in our community as they embark on their lacrosse journey!

The mission of Branford Basketball League (BYBL) is to provide quality, instructional basketball opportunities for all levels to the youth of Branford. Our goal is to offer programs that enhance players’ basketball knowledge and skills, while promoting personal growth, teamwork, and fun. From beginners with little to no experience, to intermediate and competitive players, BYBL offers boys and girls in grades K-8 a variety of programs, including introductory clinics (K&1), recreational leagues (2-8), and competitive travel teams (4–8). As a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, we are committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where every child has the chance to learn, play, and love the game of basketball, which may include growth to Branford High School opportunities.
