Free to the public, sponsored by Friends of Outer Island. Come join us, to learn about the history of Outer Island, from Jane Bouley, our resident Branford Historian. This is also an opportunity to check out volunteering with the local U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Friends of Outer Island.This event can be attended in person or by Zoom. NBC Food Drive
Branford Food Pantry
One of our biggest food drives of the year! We need volunteers to greet shoppers at both S&S doors and ask them to support the Branford Food Pantry with a food donation. Volunteers will offer shoppers a short "wish list" to help in their selections. We will have 3 two-hour shifts at each door. (10-12, 12-2, 2-4). This is a great way get a few community service hours for high school students! We will need about 8 people per shift.

The Concession Stand Attendant helps provide a positive game-day experience by supporting food and beverage service at the Branford Youth Football concession stand. This role is ideal for volunteers who enjoy working with people, staying organized, and supporting a team environment. Opening Duties (stock and organize supplies, ensure equipment is ready for the day), During operation greet customers, communicate with cook, handle cash, keep the work area clean, work well with others, Closing Duties (clean up, turn off all equipment, secure money, count).
