Free to the public, sponsored by Friends of Outer Island. Come join us, to learn about the history of Outer Island, from Jane Bouley, our resident Branford Historian. This is also an opportunity to check out volunteering with the local U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Friends of Outer Island.This event can be attended in person or by Zoom. One of our biggest food drives of the year! We need volunteers to greet shoppers at both S&S doors and ask them to support the Branford Food Pantry with a food donation. Volunteers will offer shoppers a short "wish list" to help in their selections. We will have 3 two-hour shifts at each door. (8-10, 10-12, 12-2). The Game Day Announcer is the voice of Branford Youth Football, bringing energy and excitement to home games while keeping fans informed. This volunteer introduces teams, calls plays and scores, makes sponsor or event announcements, and helps create a fun, professional game-day atmosphere. A clear speaking voice, enthusiasm, and reliability are all that’s needed to make a big impact on the Hornets community.
