Canoe Brook Center is the Senior Center in Branford, CT serving Branford residents 60+.  The mission of the Canoe Brook Center is to provide opportunities for socialization with peers, for educational and cultural enrichment, for personal growth and for successful aging and to promote health and physical fitness.  The Center will also be an advocate for Branford senior citizens and all Town residents regardless of age in cases where service is not provided by other local agencies. There is something for everyone.  You must be independent and oriented to join the Center. There is a need for volunteers at Canoe Brook. Benefits of volunteering: To have the opportunity to be with other people, be part of a team, make new friends and acquaintances, learn new skills, experience personal growth and to have fun while enriching other peoples' lives. Our TRIAD program is going strong. We help to provide programs for the seniors to keep them from being victimized in their homes and in the community. An offshoot to this program is the S.A.L.T. Council. SALT stands for Seniors and Law Enforcement Together. The council meets about three times a year planning TRIAD meetings.
