  • 7 weeks of intensive training: Combine the thrill of hands-on learning with the convenience of online sessions.

  • Master the art of trolley operation, ensuring safety and efficiency.

  • Dive deep into history, enriching your knowledge with captivating stories from the past.

  • Hone your public speaking skills, making every journey memorable for your passengers.

  • Duration: Saturdays in March & April, Wed evening zoom classes

  • Eligibility: You must be 18 or turning 18 in 2025.

  • Investment: A nominal fee of $145, inclusive of a one-year membership, all training materials.

Located in East Haven and Branford, CT, we are home to the oldest continuously operating suburban trolley line in the U.S. and a National Historic Landmark. Our mission is to preserve and share the rich history of trolleys, railways, and transportation with the public. We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help in various areas, including: Trolley Operations Restoration Projects Track Crew Special Events Tour Guides Museum Store and Ticket Agent Office Work Groundskeeping Building Maintenance and Physical Plant Public Speakers and Outreach Marketing and Media and much more! Whether you love history, enjoy working with the public, or want to learn new skills, there’s a place for you at the Shore Line Trolley Museum. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and a passion for preserving history.
