Description
At United Way of Greater New Haven, the first two weeks of March are dedicated to Read Across America, our largest volunteer effort each year.
We want to promote literacy and a love for reading among our community's youngest learners, but we need your help!
Join us from March 2nd - March 13th as we partner with schools in Branford, Guilford, Hamden, New Haven, North Haven, Orange, and West Haven to read to Pre-K through 4th grade students.
We provide books and any materials you need, but we are looking for over 250 volunteers to join us during those two weeks. Volunteers will spend 30 minutes in the classroom and read 2-3 books aloud, bringing the excitement of literacy to students.
