As part of our Cleaning Crew, you’ll dive into tasks like:
- Sweeping and dusting to keep our exhibits and spaces spotless.
- Sanitizing high-touch areas to ensure a safe environment.
- General upkeep to maintain the museum’s charm and appeal.
- Participating in other cleaning tasks that help our museum sparkle!

Located in East Haven and Branford, CT, we are home to the oldest continuously operating suburban trolley line in the U.S. and a National Historic Landmark. Our mission is to preserve and share the rich history of trolleys, railways, and transportation with the public. We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help in various areas, including: Trolley Operations Restoration Projects Track Crew Special Events Tour Guides Museum Store and Ticket Agent Office Work Groundskeeping Building Maintenance and Physical Plant Public Speakers and Outreach Marketing and Media and much more! No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and a passion for preserving history.
